Our verdict
2Modern suits shoppers filling several rooms across furniture, lighting and kitchen in the United States, with free delivery once orders reach $50. Returns must be postmarked within 30 days, which gives a clear deadline, and made-to-order pieces sit outside that window, so plan custom orders carefully.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Delivery is free once an order reaches $50, with a stated charge on smaller orders.
- Returns must be postmarked within 30 days of arriving, a deadline you can work back from.
- The Valencia Pro frypan comes with 2 years of cover supplied by Greenpan.
- An assembly service exists for anyone who would rather not build a piece themselves.
- The furniture side runs sofas, sofa beds, armchairs and more, so sofas, beds and desk chairs come from the same store.
Cons
- Made-to-order products are excluded from returns, so the 30 days window does not cover them.
- Delivery is confined to the United States, so a reader in another country cannot check out.

- Anyone who wants a clear 30 days deadline for sending something back.

- Shoppers who want assembly folded into the delivered price.
Core features
Returns run to 30 days, and every return must be postmarked within that window of the item arriving. Made-to-order products sit outside the scheme, which matters if you had planned to send a custom piece back. Delivery is free once an order reaches $50, with a per-item charge below that. Pieces arrive in their original packaging for you to unbox, inspect and assemble, so assembly is not included in the price. A full service delivery option adds it back, with professionals fully assembling and physically setting up the new piece. In the kitchen, the Valencia Pro frypan pairs stainless and ceramic nonstick, carries 2 years of cover supplied by Greenpan, suits induction as well as other stovetops and is dishwasher safe.
The company behind it
The store is operated by Carve Media, Inc., a California corporation, with its address given in Mill Valley, California, which puts its base in the United States. Its own description of the business is design curated daily since 2003, pointing at a long-running catalogue rather than a seasonal one. Support runs through email, phone and help centre, so a question about an order can go to a person by email, by phone or via the help centre.

Frequently asked questions
How long do I have to return something from 2Modern?+
Returns must be postmarked within 30 days of receiving the item, and the store goes by the postmark rather than the date a request arrives. Made-to-order pieces are the exception: they cannot be sent back, so custom orders carry more risk.
Is delivery free at 2Modern?+
Delivery is free on orders of $50 or more, unless an item page says otherwise. Smaller orders carry a per-item charge, and larger furniture pieces may be shipped for a fee too, so the shipping page is worth checking before a big order.
Is assembly included in delivery?+
Free delivery on orders of $50 or more covers transport alone: pieces arrive in their original packaging for you to unbox, inspect and assemble at your own convenience. A full service delivery option exists in which professionals fully assemble and physically set up the new piece.
What does a sofa cost at 2Modern?+
Sofa listings start at $999, which is the entry point on the site rather than a promise about the rest. Prices climb through individual listings, and made-to-order pieces are treated differently on returns, so check each product page for its own terms.
Which countries does 2Modern deliver to?+
The store ships within the United States and lists its address in Mill Valley, California, which points to a domestic operation. Orders placed from other countries are not fulfilled, so check the shipping page before you plan a room.
What is the cookware like?+
The Valencia Pro frypan uses a stainless steel body with a ceramic nonstick coating, works on every stovetop including induction and is dishwasher safe. It is oven safe to 316 °C and carries 2 years of cover supplied by Greenpan.
Who runs 2Modern and how long has it been going?+
The store is operated by Carve Media, Inc., a California corporation, and describes its curation as running daily since 2003. Support runs through email, by phone and via the help centre, so an order question can go to a person rather than a form.
Will 2Modern match a lower price elsewhere?+
Yes: the brand runs a price match promise, so a lower price on the same item found elsewhere is worth raising through the contact page. Entry pricing here is anchored by sofas starting at $999, which gives a reference point before you order.
