Our verdict

Bonami.cz suits Czech and neighbouring households furnishing a home from beds and bedding to kitchenware and lighting. A 2-year warranty backs what you buy, and the return window lets you judge a sofa in your own room before you commit to the order.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Basic installation is free on selected products, so a delivered piece that needs assembling does not add a fitter's bill.
  • You can order online and collect in person, which suits anyone who would rather pick up a duvet or a rug than wait for a courier.
  • A finance option at checkout means a larger purchase does not have to be paid in full on the day of ordering.
  • Cookware is listed as induction ready, so an induction hob buyer can shortlist compatible pans without guessing.
  • Rugs are listed as machine washable, which matters in homes with pets or young children.

Cons

  • Free delivery is not offered, so the cost of getting a bulky piece home lands on you at checkout.
  • Basic installation covers selected products, so for other pieces you arrange the fitting yourself.
  • The catalogue spans furniture, beds, bedding and more, so hunting for a specific item means working through several departments.

Who it suits

  • People buying a bed, a duvet, or a sofa who want a return window to try the piece in their own room.
  • Households in the countries on the store's selector who prefer to collect an order instead of waiting for delivery.
  • Shoppers redoing a kitchen, a bathroom, or a garden corner who want cookware, lighting, and home goods from a single catalogue.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Readers who expect shipping at no charge, since delivery is a paid extra.
  • Buyers who want a seller listing their own market, since the store's country selector runs through Czechia and much of Central and southern Europe.

What it does well

Returns run for 14 days, which is the window you get to live with a new mattress, duvet, or rug before deciding to send it back. That is enough time to judge warmth and softness in a real bedroom, though a large sofa is a tighter call, so measure the space and check the dimensions before ordering. Ordering online and collecting in person is offered, which suits buyers who would rather pick a piece up than wait for a courier, and it removes the delivery leg from the timeline. On selected products, basic installation comes at no charge, so an item that needs assembling after delivery does not add a fitter's fee. A finance option at checkout means a bigger purchase does not have to be paid in full on the day, which spreads the outlay across a room refit. Taken together, these are the practical parts of buying home goods online: a short trial, a way to take the item home, help putting it together, and a way to pay for it.

Who runs it

The shop is run by Bonami.cz, a.s., a Czech company registered in Czechia with an address in Prague. It has been trading since 2013, which puts it past the stage of a short-lived marketplace stall and points to a seller built to still be trading after a difficult delivery. Support runs on email, phone, chat and more, so an order problem, a delivery question, or a return can be put to a person directly rather than left sitting in a form. For bulky home goods that matters, because a question about a sofa's dimensions or a rug's care usually arrives after the order is placed, and the answer decides whether you keep the piece or send it back. A named legal entity and a stated founding date also give you something concrete to check when you are weighing sellers against each other.

Frequently asked questions

How much do things cost?+

Prices on the site are in Czech koruna. The lowest figure shown in the pillow category is CZK 199, quoted for a decorative cushion, so it does not describe the bedding range as a whole. A duvet, a topper, or a bed frame carries its own price on the product page.

What does Bonami.cz sell?+

Bedding is the clearest part of the range: sheets, duvets, duvet covers and more. The catalogue also reaches into furniture, kitchenware, lighting, decor, and garden, so a room can be fitted out from a single seller rather than several, and the same delivery address covers the whole order.

What materials are the bedding and textiles made from?+

Bedding materials are listed as cotton, linen, microfiber and more, so you can sort by feel before you buy. Cotton and linen read as cool and crisp choices, down and wool as the warmer picks, microfiber as the easy-care option, and memory foam as the material to check when you are choosing a topper.

Will the cookware work on an induction hob?+

Cookware is listed in stainless, cast iron, enamelled cast iron and more constructions, and the pans are marked induction ready, so an induction hob buyer can filter for a compatible pan rather than guessing. Cast iron and enamelled cast iron hold heat for slow cooking, while the nonstick options suit a quick fry after work.

Which markets does the store serve?+

The store delivers to 12 countries including Bulgaria, Croatia and Italy, and a shopper in any of those markets can browse in their own language and check delivery to their address before paying. A reader shopping from another country should read the delivery terms first, since the listing is arranged around the Czech market.

How broad is the catalogue?+

Departments run from furniture and beds through to kitchen pieces, lighting, decor and garden goods, so a whole room can be bought from one seller. The trade-off is breadth: convenient when a refit is under way, slower when you want a specific item and have to work through the departments to find it.
