Design Within Reach review

Delivery runs in 1 to 3 weeks, measured from the order to the doorstep across US, CA and PR. The lower end of that range suits pieces already in stock, while the upper end covers made to order items. A buyer fitting several rooms at once should plan the last delivery against the upper end of the range.

Assembly is included with the delivery, so a piece arrives ready to use rather than boxed for the room. For sofas, sofa beds and dining that saves a booking and a weekend of work. Buyers ordering several pieces should still check the order summary, since included assembly can be listed per item.

Free delivery is not offered, so the delivery charge is added to the order instead of sitting inside the listed price. That matters most on a multi piece order, where a per item charge adds up quickly. Assembly being included does not absorb it, since the two are separate lines on the bill.

Orders go to US, CA and PR, which covers the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. Delivery times quoted in 1 to 3 weeks apply inside those markets. A shopper living anywhere else would need a store that lists their own market as a delivery destination.

The catalogue spans sofas, sofa beds and armchairs, so seating, sleeping, dining, storage, office and outdoor pieces all sit under one roof. A room can be completed in a single order instead of pieced together across suppliers. Office chairs and gaming chairs sit alongside the living room pieces, which suits a home office buyer.

Materials listed for the range include fabric, leather and velvet, covering upholstered and timber pieces with metal frames. That spread lets a buyer match one upholstered piece with a wood or aluminium companion in the same order. Finishes narrow on individual products, so the material list works as a first shortlist.

Support runs on email, phone and chat, so a question can go by email, phone or chat, with a help centre for anything a shopper wants to read first. Assembly and delivery questions fit the same routes. Keeping the order number to hand shortens any exchange about a specific piece.

Bed frames are not among sofas, sofa beds and armchairs, which lists beds rather than standalone frames. CuddleCo covers that gap with beds, bed frames and armchairs, which keeps a bedroom order under a single roof. Shoppers who want a frame on its own should start with CuddleCo.

The catalogue lists office chairs and gaming chairs within sofas, sofa beds and armchairs, so a desk chair can be ordered with the living room pieces. Standing desks are not in that list. Buerostuhl24 adds them in office chairs, gaming chairs and standing desks, which is the range to check for a sit stand setup.

Dublino Moebel lists sofas, armchairs and beds, which covers much of the same ground without sofa beds or gaming chairs. Design Within Reach keeps both in sofas, sofa beds and armchairs. A buyer who wants a sofa that turns into a sleeping surface finds fewer options there.
