Wurth review

Wurth's range is garden tools, so the outdoor shelf is hand tools rather than machines. DeWalt lists lawn mower, ride on mower and trimmer and Toolineo lists robot mower, lawn mower and trimmer, which add mowers, trimmers and chainsaws. A buyer who wants mowing kit alongside hand tools will shop at two suppliers.

The company is Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Germany, and it has traded since 1945. A business of that age is still in place long after most of its early rivals have gone, which matters when a purchase needs spare parts or service a few seasons on.

Support runs on phone, email and help centre, covering phone, email and a help centre. Phone suits a setup question on a cordless tool, the help centre suits warranty paperwork, and email suits spare parts and returns. Live chat is not among the listed routes, so timing matters when a question is urgent.

A battery platform is part of the range, so cordless tools are available and packs can be shared across tools rather than bought for each machine. That is the practical argument for starting with one Wurth tool and adding others later, instead of mixing platforms from several brands.

Entry prices across this category sit at €9.43 with a midpoint of €53.95. Wurth reads as a supplier rather than a discount shelf, so the case rests on the 1945 company and the battery platform, not on entry price.

Not from garden tools. Robot mowers appear in lawn mower, ride on mower and robot mower at Exmark and in robot mower, lawn mower and trimmer at Toolineo, while ride-on mowers appear in lawn mower, ride on mower and trimmer at DeWalt. Wurth's shelf is hand tools, so a large plot means a second supplier.

Warranty terms in this category are short to middling, with a midpoint of 3 and a longest run of 5. The cover worth checking is the one printed on the specific tool, since category terms vary by model.

Wurth is headquartered in Germany and supplies from that home market, so prices and terms are set for it. Buyers elsewhere should check availability for the specific tool and the local delivery terms, since the range and its terms are set for DE.
