Our verdict

Fußmatten-Welt is a German mat specialist for households that want washable, made to measure mats at an entry price of €35.91. Washability, free samples and 14 days returns make it practical, though a narrower rugs and washable rugs range and a return window below the 109 brand average count against it.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Machine washable mats sit in the core range of rugs and washable rugs, so a muddy entrance can be washed at home.
  • Made to measure is offered, which suits odd-shaped halls and stair runs that standard sizes miss.
  • Free samples mean you can feel a material before ordering a full room.
  • Returns run for 14 days, which is short next to the 109 brand field but clear.
  • Entry price of €35.91 compares favourably with Garvee at $15.99.

Cons

  • Returns are 14 days, and the brand ranks 88 of 109 brands on return window.
  • The range is limited to rugs and washable rugs, while Revival Rugs also sells rugs, washable rugs and decor.
  • Delivery reaches DE, AT and CH, so shoppers outside that list look elsewhere.
  • Support runs on email, phone and help centre, with no live chat listed.

Who it suits

  • Households in the European markets listed in Germany, AT and CH who want washable mats.
  • Hallway and stair runners that need made to measure sizing.
  • Buyers who want a free sample before a larger order.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Shoppers wanting decor beyond rugs and washable rugs, who are better served by Super Area Rugs with rugs, washable rugs and decor.
  • Price-first buyers, since Garvee lists $15.99 against €35.91 here.
  • Anyone outside DE, AT and CH who needs home delivery.

What it does well

The range is rugs and washable rugs, and both are machine washable, which suits hallways that take traffic and dirt. Made to measure is offered, so a narrow hall or an awkward stair run can be matched rather than forced into a standard size. Free samples are available, letting you weigh a material in your own doorway before committing. Returns run for 14 days, which is a clear but modest window. Set against the 49 brands in this ranking, machine washability and free samples are the two features most rug buyers here value, and Fußmatten-Welt covers both.

Where it sits among rivals

On entry price, Fußmatten-Welt starts at €35.91 and ranks 35 of 82 brands, so it sits well inside the field rather than at the floor of it. The site median entry price is €95, with the mid range running €35.95 to €261.77. On returns, 14 days places the brand at 88 of 109, below the 30 day median, so a buyer who weighs the return window more heavily has cheaper options elsewhere.

Who runs it

The trading entity is Fussmatten Welt, registered in Germany, which makes this a European rather than a UK or US store. Reach is DE, AT and CH, and the support mix is email, phone and help centre, so help arrives by email, phone or the help centre. That mix covers both sizing questions raised before an order and problems that follow delivery.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a mat cost at Fußmatten-Welt?+

Mats start at €35.91 for the standard sizes, which is below the site median of €95. Garvee lists a lower entry point at $15.99, so the cheapest single mat is not here. Made to measure sizes cost more than the standard range.

Can I order a mat in a size that fits my hallway?+

Made to measure is offered, so unusual hall widths and stair runs can be matched to your measurements. This is the clearest gap between Fußmatten-Welt and sellers working from standard sizes only. Standard sizes carry the €35.91 entry price.

Are the mats machine washable?+

Yes, machine washable mats are part of the range, and the rugs and washable rugs listed covers both rugs and washable rugs. In this ranking, machine washability is the feature 89.7% of brands offer, so Fußmatten-Welt is in the mainstream here. Washing suits busy entrances rather than delicate fibres.

What is the returns window?+

Returns run for 14 days from delivery, which ranks the brand 88 of 109 on that measure. The 30 day site median sits higher. Made to measure orders are the riskier choice inside a short window, so measure twice.

Where does Fußmatten-Welt deliver?+

Delivery covers DE, AT and CH, a European spread that starts with DE and reaches into the UK. Outside that list there is no home delivery, so buyers in other markets need a different seller. Delivery cost and timing depend on the destination within that list.

Can I get a free sample before ordering?+

Free samples are offered, and in this ranking 76.2% of brands offer them, so a sample is common rather than special. Sampling helps with a made to measure order, where the €35.91 entry price is only for standard sizes. Order a sample before committing to a large custom run.

How do I contact support?+

Support runs on email, phone and help centre, meaning email, phone and a help centre. There is no live chat listed, so faster messengers are not part of the mix. A help centre suits sizing and order questions, while phone suits a custom measurement query.

Is Fußmatten-Welt a UK company?+

No, the trading entity is Fussmatten Welt, based in Germany. Orders placed from the UK are within the DE, AT and CH delivery list, so the store serves that market from Germany. Buyers who want a domestic returns address may prefer a local seller.
