Pros and cons
Serta
Pros
- A 100 night trial sits well above the 60 night median trial across the mattresses tracked here.
- Cover runs 10 years, longer than Coop Sleep Goods, whose warranty runs 1 to 5 years.
- Returns run 100 days with a return fee of $0, so sending a mattress back adds no cost.
Cons
- Shipping runs in US only, so buyers in other countries have no listed delivery route.
- Support runs on email, phone and help centre, so live chat is not among the routes.
- Certifications list certipur us alone, while 38% of mattress brands here carry a further scheme.
The Little Green Sheep
Pros
- A long trial of 100 days nights at home, well above the 100 typical of the mattress ranking.
- Return postage is free at £0, so a trial costs nothing extra if the fit is wrong.
- Support runs on email, phone and chat, giving more ways to reach a person than most brands in the ranking.
Cons
- The 5 years warranty is below the 10 across the mattress ranking, and well short of lifetime cover.
- Delivery reaches GB only, so buyers outside the UK are not covered.
- Firmness covers medium and firm, so there is no soft or medium-firm option.
Who each suits
Serta
Who it suits
- US shoppers who want a long trial before committing, at 100 nights in home.
- Buyers who expect to keep a mattress for a long stretch, with 10 years of cover behind it.
- Anyone who wants the delivery and the old bed taken away on the same visit, since free delivery and old mattress removal both apply.
Who should look elsewhere
- Newton Baby, if warranty length matters more than the trial, with lifetime cover.
- Eve Sleep, if you would rather choose from a narrower list, since its range runs hybrid and memory foam.
- Coop Sleep Goods, if a warranty of 1 to 5 years is enough and the trial length is not the deciding factor.
The Little Green Sheep
Who it suits
- UK households shopping a natural-material mattress with a long home trial
- Parents furnishing a cot bed who want cotton and wool bedding in the same order
Who should look elsewhere
- Anyone outside GB, who will not find delivery

Questions about each
Serta
How long do I get to try the mattress?+
The in-home trial runs 100 nights, so you can sleep on the bed at home before deciding. That window is longer than the 60 night median trial across the mattresses tracked here. If the trial ends without a keeper, the return route runs 100 days from the delivery date.
How long does the warranty last?+
The warranty runs 10 years on the mattresses, which places it above the 5 year median for the brands on the site. It is a solid commitment rather than the longest available, since Newton Baby lists lifetime cover. Claims run through the brand's warranty team.
The Little Green Sheep
How long is the trial period on the mattress?+
The Little Green Sheep offers a trial of 100 days nights at home, which is longer than the 100 across the mattress ranking. The return window is the same length at 100 days, so the two limits do not clash. Sleeping on it for months is a realistic option here.
What does returning a mattress cost?+
Return postage is free, listed at £0. That matters more for a mattress than for smaller bedding, because the cost of sending one back would usually fall on the buyer. Alongside a trial of 100 days nights, the free return removes most of the risk from trying it.
