Our verdict
Dr.Prepare suits US buyers who want a low priced lighting fix and can handle support by email, with lighting from $17.99 and a 30 day return window. The trade off is reach and range: shipping covers US, and the listed product type is lighting alone.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Lighting starts at $17.99, which places Dr.Prepare at rank 14 of 82 on price from.
- Delivery is free once an order reaches $0, so a small order carries no shipping charge.
- A 30 day return window, the same as the median for lighting brands on the site at 30.
- Founded in 2018 and based in China, the store ships to US with lighting as the listed product type.
Cons
- Support runs on email and help centre, so a question that needs a phone call has no route through this store.
- The listed product type is lighting alone, where Abracadabra NYC also covers decor, wall art and lighting.
- Shipping reaches US only, so buyers outside that market pay a delivery charge on every order.
- Rank 14 of 82 on price from means the entry price is low, though other brands on the list sit lower.
Who it suits
- Households in US replacing a lamp or a ceiling fixture on a budget.
- Shoppers who put a 30 day return window above having a phone conversation.
- Anyone whose list is lighting and nothing else, given lighting is the range.
Who should look elsewhere
- Buyers who want decor and wall art in the same basket: Abracadabra NYC lists decor, wall art and lighting.
- Shoppers pairing lighting with mirrors: Dublino Moebel covers lighting and mirrors.
- Anyone who wants lighting and decor rather than lighting alone: Sofary Modern Lighting for Less lists lighting and decor.
Pricing
Dr.Prepare sells lighting, and the price from $17.99 is the figure to anchor on. That is an entry point for one piece rather than a set, and every product above it carries its own price, with no plan or subscription involved. Shipping is the other side of the cost picture: delivery is free once an order reaches $0, so an order sitting at that level carries no delivery charge, while anything smaller is the case where freight matters most. The practical read for a shopper: the low figure is genuine at the bottom of the range, but a whole room of lighting has to be costed piece by piece, and the entry price says little about the middle.
Where it sits among rivals
On price from, Dr.Prepare ranks 14 of 82 brands in the comparison, which puts the entry price toward the cheaper end of the table without making it the lowest figure in the set. On return days the ranking is 16 of 109, and that table is wider than the price one, where a few retailers sit far cheaper and others sit well above. Read together, the two rankings point the same way: Dr.Prepare competes on a low ticket rather than on an extreme price, and its return window is ordinary for the group rather than a standout.
Who runs it
Dr.Prepare is based in China and was founded in 2018, so it is a recent operation rather than a long established name in home decor, and the head office sits outside the market it sells into. Support runs on email and help centre only, pairing a help centre for routine questions with email for everything the help centre does not cover. Anyone who wants a conversation on the phone has no route here, and anyone weighing a long trading record will find the founding year worth reading carefully.

Frequently asked questions
How much does lighting cost at Dr.Prepare?+
The lighting range starts at $17.99, which is the price from figure shown for the store. Prices are set per product rather than by plan or subscription, so a larger fixture costs more than the entry piece. On price from, Dr.Prepare ranks 14 of 82 brands in the comparison.
Is delivery free and what is the minimum order?+
Delivery is free once an order reaches $0, so at that spend level nothing is added for shipping. Below that level a delivery charge applies, which matters more for a small order than for a room full of fixtures. That threshold is the only delivery figure the store lists.
How long do I have to return a light?+
The return window is 30 days, the same figure as the median return window for lighting brands on the site at 30. Dr.Prepare ranks 16 of 109 brands on return days, so the window is solid without being unusual for the category.
Which countries does Dr.Prepare ship to?+
The listed market is US, so the store is built for shoppers in that market. Orders placed elsewhere sit outside the stated shipping policy, and a delivery cost for another country is not covered by the free delivery threshold of $0. Cross border buyers should price the freight before choosing.
How do I get help from Dr.Prepare?+
Support runs on email and help centre. A help centre covers common questions on orders and returns, and email handles the rest. No phone or live chat route is listed, so anything urgent is worth raising by email and left to a reply rather than chased on the spot.
What does Dr.Prepare sell?+
The listed product type is lighting, so the catalogue is narrower than most stores in this comparison. A mixed basket is not the use case here: a shopper who wants decor, wall art or mirrors alongside lighting is better served by a wider range from another brand.
Who runs Dr.Prepare and how old is the company?+
The store is based in China and was founded in 2018, which makes it a young operation in home decor. Buyers who weigh a long trading record heavily should note that the head office sits outside the market listed as US, which shapes how quickly questions get answered.
How does Dr.Prepare compare with other lighting brands on price?+
On price from, Dr.Prepare ranks 14 of 82 brands, which places it toward the cheaper end of the table without being the lowest entry price in the set. On return days it sits at 16 of 109 in a wider spread of retailers.
