Our verdict

Notonthehighstreet suits shoppers filling a whole room in a single order, since rugs, lighting, mirrors, wall art and decor sit side by side rather than in separate specialist ranges. Prices open at £9.99, and the shop delivers across GB, IE and DE for buyers well beyond the UK.

Pros and cons

Pros

How it compares on our data

Notonthehighstreet sits at position 8 of 82 brands on entry price, so the range opens in the cheaper part of the field without topping it. Return days read the other way: the brand ranks 86 of 109, toward the lower end of the compared brands. Readers who weigh the sticker price first get the stronger result here, and readers who weigh the return window get the weaker one. Price is the measure that carries the score on this comparison.

The company behind it

Trading sits with Notonthehighstreet Enterprises Limited, the company named in the shopper terms, and the shop is based in the United Kingdom. Support runs through a help centre, which is the only channel listed for the company. That points to self-service help rather than direct contact, so a large order is worth tracking from the confirmation onward. A help centre suits straightforward questions about an order rather than pressing ones.

How notonthehighstreet compares

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to buy from Notonthehighstreet?+

Lighting opens at £9.99, and that entry point puts the range at position 8 of 82 brands in the comparison, near the cheaper end. Higher priced pieces sit above that figure, with rugs, mirrors and furniture carrying the larger sums. Free delivery is offered, so the checkout figure is the figure you pay.

How long do I have to change my mind on a return?+

Returns run 28 days from delivery, just under the site median of 30 days. The ranking places the shop at 86 of 109 brands on that measure. If the length of the window decides where you buy, weigh it against the rug specialists listed alongside.

What does Notonthehighstreet actually sell?+

The home range covers rugs, lighting and mirrors, with glass and wood named as materials in glass and wood. The wider shop spans furniture, kitchen and lighting, so lighting, decor and kitchen pieces sit next to the rugs. That makes it a room filling shop rather than a single category retailer.

Where does Notonthehighstreet deliver?+

The shop is based in the United Kingdom and delivers across GB, IE and DE, so most western European shoppers can order the same range. Ordering from a different market means the delivery terms published for that market are the ones that apply to the order.

Is delivery free?+

Free delivery is listed as available on the range, and orders are taken for GB, IE and DE. A large order of rugs and furniture therefore lands without a delivery line changing the total at checkout. If you are ordering a small piece, check the published terms for your market first.

What are the pieces made from?+

Glass and wood are the materials named for the home range in glass and wood. In the kitchen the range lists cast iron and copper, so pans arrive in heavier metals. That mix suits a shopper buying display pieces and everyday cookware in the same order.

How do I contact Notonthehighstreet?+

Support runs through a help centre, which is the only channel listed for the shop. Across the compared brands phone support appears on 68.4%, so this is a thinner route than most of the field. Plan to have your order details to hand before you write.

How does it compare with a rug specialist?+

The home range here covers rugs, lighting and mirrors, while Garvee lists rugs and washable rugs and Revival Rugs lists rugs, washable rugs and decor. Super Area Rugs also pairs rugs and washable rugs with decor in rugs, washable rugs and decor. Buy here for a whole room, or buy from the specialists for a deeper rug choice.

Who is behind the shop?+

Orders are placed with Notonthehighstreet Enterprises Limited, the company named in the shopper terms, and it is based in the United Kingdom. That is the entity behind the range, with the site name serving as the label shoppers meet first. Contracts, delivery and returns all sit with that company.
