Pros and cons

Pros

  • Plug and play, delivery included and finance are all yes, so no separate delivery charge is added on top of the listed price
  • Entry price of €303.95 places the brand near the top of the field on price from, with the range topping out far below the category ceiling
  • Product types cover both hot tubs and inflatable hot tubs in one range
  • Support runs on email, chat and help centre, which covers email, chat and a help centre

Cons

  • Warranty of 2 years is short for a hot tub, and sits below the hot tub median of 2 years
  • Seats max of 6 people is at the low end of the hot tub range, ranking 13 of 21 brands on that measure
  • Product types stop at hot tubs and inflatable hot tubs, so a cold plunge option like Lay-Z-Spa or Almost Heaven Saunas offers is not covered
  • Support runs on email, chat and help centre only, with no phone line listed, while phone is common across hot tub brands

Who it suits

  • Buyers who want a tub that runs straight from a standard outlet without installation work
  • Shoppers in European markets who want delivery included in the listed price
  • Anyone splitting the cost with finance rather than paying in one go

Who should look elsewhere

  • If you want a cold plunge in the range, Almost Heaven Saunas lists one alongside hot tubs
  • If you want saunas as well as tubs in one catalogue, Saunaloft carries sauna and infrared sauna lines
  • If a longer warranty is the priority, the 2 years here is the weakest point

What it does well

The range covers hot tub and inflatable hot tub, so a rigid tub and an inflatable can be bought from the same catalogue. Both are listed as plug and play, which means no fixed installation is needed before use. The top seat count in the range is 6 people, and the Como model runs a 1.8 kilowatt heater. Delivery is included in the listed price, and finance is available, so the cost on the product page is the cost of getting it to the property. Support is offered by email, chat and help centre.

Where it sits among rivals

On price from, the brand ranks 2 of 25 brands, which puts the entry point near the cheap end of the field. Seats max ranks 13 of 21 brands, so the capacity on offer is mid range rather than at the top. Warranty years ranks 11 of 18 brands, which is where the brand gives ground against longer guarantees. For context, the hot tub median price from is €3,014.93 and the median warranty is 2 years.

Who runs it

The brand trades as Wave Direct Limited and is registered in the United Kingdom, so contracts, terms and warranty claims sit with a UK entity. It was founded in 2018, which makes it a younger name than some long established garden suppliers. The store lists GB, US and FR as its markets, so buyers outside the UK are served through the same site. After buying, support comes through email, chat and help centre, which covers email, chat and a help centre.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Wave Spas hot tub cost?+

Prices start at €303.95 for the range, which covers both rigid and inflatable tubs. That entry point ranks 2 of 25 brands on price from, so the cheapest model does most of the attracting. Higher specification tubs in the same range cost considerably more.

What does the price include at checkout?+

Delivery is included in the listed price, so no separate freight charge is added on top. Finance is also available, which spreads the cost rather than requiring it in one payment. Buyers budgeting in another currency should check the local figure shown on the store.

How long is the warranty on Wave Spas tubs?+

The warranty runs for 2 years. That is a shorter cover than the hot tub median of 2 years, and it ranks 11 of 18 brands on warranty length. Buyers expecting cover closer to 10 years should look elsewhere.

Do I need to install the tub myself?+

The range is listed as plug and play, so the tubs are designed to run without specialist installation once positioned. The Como model draws a 1.8 kilowatt heater, which is a modest load for a domestic supply. Delivery is included, so the unit arrives before any setup decision needs making.

How many people can the tub take?+

The largest tub in the range seats 6 people, which is at the lower end of what hot tubs offer. That places the brand 13 of 21 brands on maximum seating. The hot tub median is 8 seats, so larger family groups are better served elsewhere.

What types of tub and spa can I buy?+

The catalogue covers hot tub and inflatable hot tub, meaning rigid and inflatable models. It is a hot tub and inflatable range only, so there is no cold plunge or sauna in the same listing. For a broader mix, Saunaloft lists hot tub, inflatable hot tub and swim spa on its own store.

Who runs Wave Spas and where is it based?+

The seller is Wave Direct Limited, registered in the United Kingdom, which means UK terms and warranty obligations apply to a purchase. The company was founded in 2018, so it is a relatively young trader. It lists GB, US and FR as the markets it serves.

How do I get help after buying?+

Support comes through email, chat and help centre, covering email, live chat and a help centre. There is no phone channel in that list, so issues needing a spoken conversation are harder to resolve. Buyers who want to talk to someone may prefer a brand that lists phone support.
