Our verdict

Alba Matelas suits buyers who want a long trial on a mattress from a French maker, and who would rather test at home than rush a choice. The Alba Original carries 200 nights of trial use, and every order can add bedding.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • A warranty of 10 years keeps cover on the mattress long after the trial ends.
  • Standard delivery is free, and old mattress removal is available when the new mattress arrives.
  • Finance is offered, so the cost of a mattress can be spread across several payments.
  • Returns run 14 days with the return fee listed as €0, so a change of mind adds no charge.
  • Bedding sits alongside the mattresses, so a bedroom can be finished in the same order.

Cons

  • Free delivery covers France, Belgium and Luxembourg markets, so a buyer elsewhere has to settle shipping before ordering.
  • The 200-night trial is published for the Alba Original, so the other models need their terms confirmed before ordering.
  • The Alba Original stands 24 cm tall, which asks for a base and bedside clearance that can take the height.

Who it suits

  • Buyers who want to sleep on a mattress for 200 nights before committing.
  • People fitting out a bedroom in a single trip, since the store covers beds, bedding and furniture.
  • Customers who want the paperwork straight: the legal entity is OKI, registered in France.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Shoppers outside the listed delivery markets, who would need to settle shipping separately.
  • Anyone who wants a quick decision: 200 nights of trial keeps the question open far longer than a normal shopping trip.
  • Buyers set on an innerspring feel, because the mattresses here are latex and hybrid.

Core features

The Alba Original is the model the headline terms come from. It comes with 200 nights of trial use, which lets a body settle in before anyone signs off on the purchase, and a warranty of 10 years covers the mattress afterwards. The mattress measures 24 cm at its height, a profile that suits sleepers who like a thick, supportive feel under the covers. Standard delivery is free and arrives within a few working days, and old mattress removal is available for the mattress being replaced. Taken together, the trial and the removal service mean a buyer can order, sleep, wait and swap without hauling anything to a drop point.

Plans and prices

Read €290 as the price of today rather than a floor. That figure belongs to the Alba Original, and the same product page shows it marked down against a higher price for the very same mattress, so the higher number is the one to plan around once that reduction ends. Delivery sits inside the price rather than as a separate line beneath it, and the return fee is listed as €0, so a send-back adds nothing to the outlay. Budget the entry figure up front, then keep the higher one in mind as the long-run cost.

The company behind it

The business behind the site is OKI, registered in France. Support runs across email, phone, chat and more, with a phone line answered around the clock and chat for quicker questions. Having both live options means a sizing question can be settled in a sentence and a delivery problem chased by someone who picks up. The entity named in the notice is what appears on an order confirmation, so it is the name worth holding on to for any refund conversation.

Frequently asked questions

What does a mattress from Alba Matelas cost?+

The Alba Original is listed at €290, and that price is shown marked down against a higher price for the same mattress on its product page. Delivery is part of the figure rather than something added on top. A reader budgeting should keep the higher figure in mind as the likely cost once the reduction ends.

How long can I try a mattress before deciding?+

The Alba Original comes with 200 nights of trial use, which is a long stretch to sleep on a mattress before committing. The trial is paired with free returns, so a buyer who decides early is not left holding a mattress they did not want. Old mattress removal is available too, so swapping does not mean arranging disposal separately.

What happens if I want to send a mattress back?+

Returns run 14 days, and the return fee is listed as €0, so a send-back adds nothing to what was paid. That window sits underneath the longer trial for anyone still weighing the purchase, so there is no need to decide inside a fortnight.

How long is the warranty?+

The warranty runs 10 years, which is the cover that keeps working long after a mattress has been slept on and signed off. A reader who wants protection that outlasts the settling-in period gets the most from this number. It adds to the trial rather than replacing it.

What are the materials and certifications?+

Materials are stated as Oeko-Tex and FSC certified, and the range covers cotton, memory foam and microfibre. The bedding runs up to 160 threads, which matters to anyone who reads thread counts before choosing sheets. Both certification marks sit with the materials, so that is where a reader checking documentation should start.

Where does Alba Matelas deliver?+

Free delivery is listed for France, Belgium and Luxembourg, and that delivery sits inside the €290 price rather than being added at checkout. Standard shipping arrives within a few working days. A reader based outside those markets would need to settle shipping separately before ordering a mattress.

Does Alba Matelas sell more than mattresses?+

Beyond the mattresses, the store sells more for the bedroom, and the bedding side includes sheets, pillows and toppers from €44.50. A reader outfitting a bedroom can put the pieces together in one order rather than buying each part from a different seller.

Can I pay for a mattress in instalments?+

Finance is offered, so a mattress at €290 can be spread across several payments instead of paid up front. The price is set as a single figure either way, so the instalment option changes when the money leaves an account rather than what the mattress costs.
