Our verdict

Clearlight suits US buyers who want sauna and cold plunge recovery from one maker, and the warranty is the stand out number with lifetime cover. Entry pricing lands mid field rather than at the floor, so shoppers chasing the smallest outlay should weigh a cheaper brand first.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Lifetime warranty, which puts Clearlight at 1 of 18 on the warranty row.
  • Range spans sauna, infrared sauna and cold plunge, a wider mix than Vellgus at infrared sauna for buyers who want heat and cold from one supplier.
  • Delivery is included in the quoted price across US, so the entry figure of $1,599 is not a teaser rate.
  • Units are plug and play and finance is available, so a purchase can be spread over time without booking a specialist install.

Cons

  • Entry price of $1,599 ranks 12 of 25, so it is not the cheapest way onto the list.
  • The brand sells into US only, which leaves buyers in other countries without a direct route.
  • Support runs on email, phone and help centre, with live chat not listed among the channels.

Who it suits

  • US buyers who want both sauna and cold plunge from one maker rather than two suppliers.
  • Households planning to keep equipment for years, drawn by the lifetime warranty.
  • People with a spare socket and clear floor space, since the units are plug and play and delivery comes included.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Vellgus, if one infrared sauna is all you need, since its range is infrared sauna.
  • Lay-Z-Spa, if soaking is the goal, given a range of hot tub, inflatable hot tub and cold plunge.
  • Bast Sauna, if a traditional sauna and cold plunge pairing fits better, since its range is sauna and cold plunge.

Core features

The feature set is compact and easy to read. Warranty is lifetime, and that term is the headline for anyone planning to keep a unit in place for a long time. Units are plug and play, so there is no specialist installation to arrange before first use. Delivery is included, and finance is available for buyers who would rather spread the cost than pay it in one go.

How it compares on our data

Two rows carry most of the ranking. On entry price Clearlight sits at 12 of 25, in the middle of the field rather than near the floor, so it is not the cheapest way in. On warranty it ranks 1 of 18, at the top of that list. Read together, buyers pay more to start and are covered for longer, which suits a purchase treated as a lasting fixture rather than a short term one.

The company behind it

The company behind the brand is Sauna Works, Inc., dba Clearlight Infrared, based in the United States. Support runs on email, phone and help centre, so questions can go by email or phone, or be looked up in the help centre, without depending on a single route. Buyers who need the legal entity for a claim or a contract have the name stated rather than left to a trading name.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Clearlight unit cost at the entry level?+

Clearlight quotes prices model by model and the entry point is $1,599. That figure ranks 12 of 25 on the price row, which places the brand in the middle of the field. Buyers on a tight budget should weigh cheaper entry prices before committing to this one.

What warranty comes with Clearlight equipment?+

The warranty is lifetime, and it is the strongest number in the offer. On the warranty row Clearlight ranks 1 of 18, ahead of the other brands compared there. Buyers who keep equipment for years get a longer term than most rivals on this list.

Is delivery charged on top of the price in the US?+

Delivery is included, so the quoted entry price of $1,599 is the delivered figure rather than a headline that rises once the unit ships. That applies in the United States, the market Clearlight serves. Buyers outside that market would not get the same included delivery on a purchase.

Can I pay for a Clearlight in instalments?+

Finance is available, which spreads the cost of a unit over time instead of one large payment. The entry price of $1,599 sets the starting amount a buyer is financing, and larger domes and cold plunge units sit above it. Buyers budgeting monthly should ask for terms before ordering.

Do Clearlight units need a specialist installation?+

Units are plug and play, so they are made to be used without booking a specialist installer first. Delivery is included, which means the unit arrives as part of the purchase rather than through a separate paid service. Buyers with a suitable socket and floor space can get going without arranging installation work.

What kinds of products does Clearlight sell?+

The range covers sauna, infrared sauna and cold plunge, so sauna and cold recovery can be bought from one maker. Vellgus lists infrared sauna by comparison, and Lay-Z-Spa leans towards hot tub, inflatable hot tub and cold plunge. Clearlight is the pick when an infrared sauna and a cold plunge should come from the same supplier.

How do I get hold of Clearlight support?+

Support runs on email, phone and help centre, so questions can go by email or phone, or be looked up in the help centre. The company behind the brand is Sauna Works, Inc., dba Clearlight Infrared, which is useful if a claim or contract needs the legal entity. Live chat is not listed among the channels.

Can I buy Clearlight outside the US?+

Clearlight is a US company and the markets it serves are US. Buyers in other countries sit outside the listed market, so a local distributor rather than a direct purchase would be the likely route. Pricing, delivery and support arrangements all sit inside that single market.
