Core features

Ecomatelas centers on reconditioned mattresses built around recovered cores from prestigious hotels and French manufacturing partners. Hotel bedding is renewed every two to four years, and end of line stock adds further supply. Intact cores are kept, worn parts are removed, and artisan assembly rebuilds the structure. A patented UV and heat process developed in France sanitizes the core. Each mattress is finished with a new cover certified OEKO-TEX. The catalogue spans latex with high density foam, latex with memory foam, ultra aired premium builds, and combinations with pocketed springs.

Who runs the business

Ecomatelas is a French company that reconditions mattresses by hand in its own workshops in France. The business works with hotels that refresh their bedding and with French manufacturers that have end of line stock, so mattresses reach the brand from more than one origin. Its aim is to give buyers a hotel style night's sleep while keeping usable mattresses out of incineration and lowering the impact of a fresh purchase. The range is built for people who want a dependable mattress without buying outright.

Materials and accessories

Bed bases and feet are made from wood taken from sustainable forests, which matters to buyers who look at the components beneath the mattress as well. Accessories complete the setup: a waterproof mattress protector, a memory foam pillow, a memory foam topper and organic cotton bedding. Together these items cover the surface, the frame and the finishing layers of a bed, so one order can equip a complete sleeping area with a consistent approach.

How each mattress is prepared

Each mattress goes through a set process before it is offered to buyers. Teams recover the core, assemble it again by hand and clean it with care. Inspection follows, and every piece is checked for hygiene, firmness and finish. This routine gives the brand a steady standard across the range, even though the cores come from different hotel and manufacturer origins, and it keeps the buying experience consistent from one order to the next.

How Ecomatelas compares

Frequently asked questions

What does Ecomatelas sell?+

Ecomatelas sells reconditioned ecological mattresses, plus sommiers and pillows for a complete bed. The range pairs mattresses with matching supports so you can equip the whole sleeping setup from one brand.

Which materials and constructions are offered?+

The range combines latex, high density foam, memory foam and pocketed springs in different builds. Ultra aired constructions sit at the premium end, while other models mix foam with springs or memory foam.

How are Ecomatelas mattresses made?+

Teams recover mattresses from prestigious hotels and end of line stock from French manufacturing partners. They keep intact cores, remove worn parts, sanitize with a patented UV and heat process, then add a new cover.

Who are reconditioned mattresses from Ecomatelas meant for?+

Buyers who want a hotel quality night's sleep without choosing a fresh mattress are the main audience. People who care about waste will also appreciate that each mattress is a renewed core rather than a fresh one. The range covers mattresses, bed bases and pillows for a full bedroom setup.

What is the difference between a used mattress and a reconditioned one?+

A reconditioned mattress has been renewed, cleaned and sanitised by professionals before it goes back on the market. Used mattresses, by contrast, are often sold without any check of their condition. Renewal includes a fresh cover and a review of firmness and hygiene, which is why the two should not be treated as the same product.

Which accessories can be paired with an Ecomatelas mattress?+

Ecomatelas also offers a waterproof mattress protector, a memory foam pillow, a memory foam topper and organic cotton bedding. These pieces help protect and refine the sleeping surface, so the whole bed works as one set. Latex and memory foam combinations also appear across the range, giving shoppers several ways to build the sleeping surface.
