Our verdict

Zinus pairs a memory foam and hybrid range with a 100-night in-home trial and a 10-year warranty, so it suits buyers who want to sleep on a bed for months before deciding to keep it. The trade-off is one feel and a modest accessories line.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • A 100-night in-home trial sits above the 60 across the brands listed here, so testing costs time rather than money.
  • The 10-year warranty outlasts 1 to 5 years at Coop Sleep Goods by a wide margin.
  • The Balanced Comfort Signature memory foam mattress is $749 for a queen with free delivery attached, so the delivered price matches the shelf price.
  • Free delivery comes with the mattress, and the $0 shipping threshold on the bamboo sheet set means the bedding price is the landed price.

Cons

  • Firmness is listed as medium only, so anyone who sleeps light or heavy has to change brand rather than change feel.
  • Accessories are sheets only, so pillows, duvets and toppers are bought elsewhere.
  • Bedding return windows are 30 days, far shorter than the 100-night mattress trial.
  • A 10-year warranty is well short of the lifetime cover at Newton Baby, so long term buyers pay for that gap.

Who it suits

  • Shoppers who want to sleep on a mattress at home for 100 nights before deciding.
  • Buyers in the United States, AU and CA who want mattresses and bamboo bedding from the same brand.
  • People who value phone and chat support on email, chat and phone when a warranty claim is needed.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Newton Baby, with 99 warranty years, is the one to consider if the length of the cover matters more to you than a 100-night trial.
  • Coop Sleep Goods, whose warranty runs 1 to 5 years, suits buyers who want a shorter commitment and treat the trial as a formality.

Where it sits among rivals

On the lists here, the Balanced Comfort Signature memory foam mattress puts Zinus at 14 of 50 brands for queen price, 18 of 83 on trial nights, and 26 of 73 on warranty years. Measured against the size of each list, the trial position is the strongest of those measures and the warranty position the weakest, with price in between. Zinus competes on how long you can test a mattress rather than on the length of the cover, and buyers who want the longest warranty will find brands ranked ahead of it there.

What it does well

The Balanced Comfort Signature memory foam mattress carries a 100-night in-home trial, and free delivery comes with it, so the price on the listing is the price paid. The warranty runs 10 years, which covers the early years of ownership generously and the later ones thinly. The mattress is a 30.48 cm profile with a medium feel, placing it in the middle of the market on depth and on feel. Paired with the trial, that means the risk of ordering foam without lying on it is about as low as it runs in this category.

Who runs it

Zinus is run by Zinus, Inc., headquartered in the United States. Support runs on email, chat and phone, which covers phone, chat, email and a self service help centre. A 10-year warranty claim therefore has several routes in, and the brand is a single named company rather than a marketplace reseller passing questions back and forth. Compared with a seller whose after sales contact is one inbox, the practical difference is how quickly a sleep problem on a foam layer gets resolved.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Zinus queen mattress cost?+

The Balanced Comfort Signature memory foam mattress is $749. Free delivery is included at that price, and the 100-night trial and 10-year warranty come with the mattress rather than costing extra. The bamboo sheet set starts at $149.99.

What happens after the trial ends?+

The mattress stays yours once the 100-night trial closes, and the 10-year warranty starts its clock. Bedding runs on a different clock: the bamboo sheet set carries a 30-day return window, so sheet choices are worth settling before the order.

How long is the in-home trial?+

The trial on the Balanced Comfort Signature memory foam mattress runs 100 nights, and the refund policy states the same window as 100 days in home. That is above the 60 recorded across the brands listed here, so testing costs nothing but time.

How does the warranty compare with rivals?+

The warranty is 10 years. Coop Sleep Goods lists 1 to 5 years and Newton Baby lists lifetime cover, so Zinus sits above one of them and well below the other. Eve Sleep, which also sells hybrid and memory foam, is worth checking for cover terms and price together.

Which countries does Zinus ship to?+

Zinus sells into US, AU and CA, and the brand is headquartered in the United States under the legal entity Zinus, Inc.. Delivery, returns and warranty handling are arranged market by market, so an order placed outside US is worth checking against the local store first.

What certifications and materials are used?+

The Balanced Comfort Signature memory foam mattress is listed under certipur us and oeko tex, and the materials across the range are bamboo and memory foam. The feel is medium only, so anyone after a softer or firmer option changes brand rather than adjusting feel within this one.

What bedding and accessories are sold?+

Beyond mattresses, the accessory range is sheets, with the bamboo sheet set priced from $149.99 and a 30-day return window. Sheets are the whole listed accessory line, so pillows, duvets and toppers come from elsewhere.

How do you get help after ordering?+

Support runs on email, chat and phone, so phone, chat, email and a help centre are all listed ways in. A 10-year warranty claim can be raised through any of those channels, and the help centre is where shipping and return terms on the sheet sets are set out.
